It's been a pretty good year so far. While not collecting, I am observing and photographing. A few weeks back I observed 20 species of butterflies in one day. A pretty good number.
Today, I went up with the intention of photographing some of the small Lepturini up at 2000 to 2500 foot level. Present were Anastrangalia, Brachysomida, Stenocorus and Strophiona. The Yarrow is in bloom, so plenty of flowers to attract them. Also, the Lycaenidae were in large numbers on the same flowers. Here are some images:

Just an update for this week on the Lepturini... 3 new species appeared. The Anastrangalia and Stenocorus are still around. I did not go to where I saw Strophonia and I'm pretty sure the Brachysomida are gone sice they're the first out in the spring.
New stuff appear to be Neobellamira delicata, Xestoleptura crassipes and what looks like maybe Leptura anthracina (the black one)and all were found on flowering trees/shrubs that were not in bloom previously.
I used a stiff white paper to shoot these, but species detail is better.
