It's time once again to plan the next Montreal Insect Show.

This year, the Show will be held on a single day, October 18th. The location for the show is the Collège de Maisonneuve, 3800 Sherbrooke East, Montréal, two locks from the Olympic Stadium and the Pie-IX subway exit.

We hope that you will promote this event on your web site, in your regular publications, and that you will advertise it directly to your clients or entomologist friends.

Our show gets good reports. Many new exhibitors have contacted us to participate to the 2008 show. Please confirm your participation with your payment as soon as possible to keep your priority as an exhibitor from previous years. Table set-up will be done from reception of your payment.

Montreal Insect Show

Exhibitors :
- The cost to rent an 8 foot table (2,43m) is 100$ CAN.
- Canadian exhibitors must add the correct taxes (Québec : 113,95$ total).
- Reservations will be taken only with full payment.
- Exhibitors may set up on Saturday morning from 7 am to 9 am.

General informations and conditions for the Montreal Insect Show

This document mentions the conditions to which all participants to the Montreal Insect Show must agree.

General informations :

1) All exhibitors must use the access door on Nicolet street (first street west of the College Maisonneuve). Trolleys will be available at the P2 parking entrance. After delivery, cars may be parked on Nicolet street or in the fee parking.

2) All exhibitors are expected to prepare their stand on Saturday 18th, starting from 7 am to 9 am. All booths will already be assigned, with all basic equipment (tables, chairs, wall). Please use your space responsibly, and respect your neighbours. All changes must go through Yves-Pascal Dion. ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE READY BY 9 O'CLOCK.

3) We do not supply shelves. We also suggest that you bring your own exhibition table cloth, lamps and electrical cords because none are supplied.

4) Reservation will be official only when full payment is received. Cost stands until August 20th 2008. After that, the cost will increase by 50$ (total of 150$, plus proper taxes = 170,93$). Payment can be made by credit card, cheque money order or with PayPal to : sales@insect-trade.com

5) You are responsible for setting and packing your material. You are responsible for your space. Please never let your booth unattended. We will not be responsible for any damage or stolen material at your booth. Doors will be locked and the hall guarded while the show is closed. In order to respect visitors, please don't begin packing your stuff before the end of the show.

We will have a pleasant meal in a restaurant on Saturday evening. These reunion are always very nice to get to know each other. We will visit your booth on Saturday morning to take the names of those interesting joining us.

No exhibitor will be allowed to store large containers full of insects behind the stands (for the visitors to see). The show is not a stock room for wholeselling. Negative comments from visitors and exhibitors about entomology and entomologists have come to our ears. It is not because a visitor sees 50 specimens of the same species that he will buy more. We have nothing against quantity, as long as there is diversity. Please do not give too many weapons to our detractors ...

Conditions to participate to the MIS 2008 :

By participating to the Montreal Insect Show, I accept that :
- I only sell insects with the proper legal permits (CITES, etc.).
- I will provide to any government authorities the permits required for the possession of suchinsects.
- It is my responsability to know the species under international, national and regional laws.
- All my insects have the collecting datas. (Note : It is also better to have all insects identified to the species level.)
- I only sell live arthropods which are of legal possession in Canada.
