Small maggot like insect in my room! HELP!?
Ok, so this morning I woke up and came back to my room after breakfast and while playing games I found a small bug about one centimeter which looks like a maggot but has an olive colored body with white bands on it and it's head has different banded colors of brow and it's butt is a blackish brown. I took the bug downstairs to show my sister and she said it was a maggot and I had it in my room and it spawned from horrible conditions and the junk laying around so I flicked it outside. I just fully cleaned out my room yesterday of all the trash, soda cans, and candy wrappers from it and I just found another maggot like insect where the carpet meets the wall beside my bed. I've been mortally afraid of bed bugs and am afraid if this is a larvae form of it. I would take a picture of it but my camera is broken at the moment. There have been crumbs around my room but I also vacuumed. I'll give 25 points to the best answer.sorry forgot to mention, if anybody could identify the bug and provide a link to a picture of it.
What kind of bee/insect is this? really odd?
When my family and I were taking down a few trees in our backyard, we came across a couple of these huge, weird insects bees in the piles of pine branches in our yard. I took a a couple of pictures of a bug I had found, and I have no idea what type of insect it is. It really reminds me of a wasp though. the jar its in is around the size of a large pickle jar, just a little smaller I've never seen anything like it before either..P.S I measured the stinger it had. It was 1mm.. millimeter . And it's body length is about 3 cmHere's the pictures s1028.photobucket.com albums y349 lakesbrian ?action view& current 100 2155.jpgs1028.photobucket.com albums y349 lakesbrian ?action view& current goodqual.jpg
What is this flying insect?
I see these things everywhere in CT. They look like a woodchip or a dry leaf, but when you get near them they make a fluttery clicking noise, jump up, and float away in this creepy wide arc that usually brings them right back at your face. I've always known them as locusts, but I just did an image search, and locusts look nothing like them. When they're in flight, they have solid wings like moths, usually white with brown bands. Can someone identify them so I can fully express my hatred towards them? It's definitely not a stink bug. They're long and thin like grasshoppers.Brown grasshoppers are the closest thing I can find to them. The difference is that grasshoppers have that sort of membranous wing, whereas these things' wings are almost feathery. They seem too chunky for actual flight, so they just clumsily flap around every time someone almost steps on them.As I said, they look a lot like grasshoppers, but don't seem to be grasshoppers. Their wings are different.
How to get rid of white flying insects on my Hibiscus plants?
I have 3 Hibiscus plants in containers on my porch. They are in full bloom right now. However, there are white flying bugs on the underside of the leaves look like sesame seeds. If I shake the plant, they fly off but come back. I have tried several types of insect sprays and nothing seems to work. They fly away when I spray but are always back within 24 hours. Any suggestions?

How far will a spider crawl/ walk after sprayed with insect killer (raid)?
I sprayed the spider when it was on the wall, it fell to the floor, I sprayed it when it was on the floor. I started having a bad panic attack so I walked away when I went back a few hours later I did not see the spider there. Did it die? How far away do they walk after being poisoned? I smashed it a little bit too on the carpet though... Thanks It says kills on contact and it DOES list spiders on the list. I know they are Arachnids and arachnids are related to insects. I was using some spray in a green bottle and it worked on them even wasps. This time I just have yet to see the spider dead to be 100% certain . Many spiders can cause physical harm to humans so NO they do NOT need to be IN my home.

There are tiny spots and splatters of red along my baseboards after the insect exterminator came today?
I live in the basement and therefore there are a lot of bugs around. After the bug man left I noticed these red dots all along my baseboards? Also my cat has what I thought were fleas that came from my friends house. Could this be from them? Please somebody tell me what this is, I can't get a hold of the bug man. Thanks.
What insect is in my apartment. Is it a roach?
There are roach looking bugs in my apartment. They are quite small and reddish brown in color. They look just like roaches to me body, antennas but they are out in the day and when lights are on. They are not afraid of me unless i try to kill it. Could it be something other than a roach?
Why farmers do not use liquid nitrogen to kill insects instead of pesticide?
Flying Insects that Feed on Flower Nectar?
In my yard I live in Maryland I've seen several flying things that hover from flower to flower, sticking their heads inside. My first thought, of course, is humming bird. The only problem with that is that I can see their antennae when I get closer to them. They are brownish gray and appear to have some sort of speckling but I've never caught one to really be able to see it. They also appear to be double winged, but that might just be an illusion from moving so fast. Am I dumb and just seeing small hummingbirds? What about the antennae? Does anybody know what I'm seeing?
