Question: Bed insects problems!! help appreciated?

So i was about to sleep today and when i lied down on my bed.. i felt somthing unsual so i lift up my blanket to see what was under there and there was this Furry catepillar looking bug on the edge of my bed! it is hard to describe how it looks but it had a black head and tail and starting from the head to the tail was this orange/ yellow colored hairs it looked like a catepillar and its not my first time seeing it does anyone have any idea what this creature is called? i know its not a bed bug it doesen't look anything like it the size is mabye about 1- 2cm long and 1 cm wide it looked like a mini catepillar again, it would be nice if anyone knows what this creature is called and are they harmful?

Sounds like a Wooly Worm. If it is one of them they won't hurt you just flick it outside and you will be OK. They can also be all back(I recently seen one like that on my carport). They were once thought to predict the winter by there color pattern.
